QlikView/Qliksense Developer
Job Duties and Skills:
- Provide support on functional and non-functional client requirements to optimize the design of BI deliverables (reports, dashboards, alerts, visualizations).
- Work on expression building, data modeling, integration of custom extension objects and a strong understanding of BI concepts and reporting.
- Design and develop software applications and complex server-based Qliksense dashboards from scratch to support reporting and Business Intelligence initiatives.
- Develop QlikView Dashboards using Chart Box, Input Field, Table Box, Statistics Box, Multi Box, Calendar & Date Island. Installed and deployed them accordingly.
- Generate tasks, scheduling of the applications, reloading of data, distribution of applications and reducing the size of application at QlikView Publisher. Created scheduled jobs through Qliksense management console (QMC).
- Test Applications, ensuring the application met the requirements, Data quality for Quality Assurance, Unit and Sanity testing before delivering to the end users.
- Collaborate with Business users and cross functional teams to develop Business Requirement Documents. (BRD), define KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), and identify data sources.
- Provide support in developing brand new Qliksense Apps with the help of D3 Visualizations, Extensions available in the Qlik-branch, new Qliksense framework default functionality like Beta Maps, KPI Object, Export to PPT/PDF, storytelling etc.
- Create Dashboards with different style using QlikView components like List Box, Slider, Buttons, charts and Bookmarks. Optimizing the dashboards that are taking a lot of reload time.
- Work with the developer team in implementing Star Schema & Snowflake for Dimensional Data Modeling in QlikView.
- Work on Qliksense data modeling, master items, maps and reporting.
- Contribute my expertise in creating Variables and Triggers to enhance the functionality of Qlik-Sense.
Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, information technology, or a closely related field, or a combination of education and experience equating to the U.S. equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree in one of the aforementioned subjects.
